Small Dog Ward and Kennel

We have spacious, bright and clean boarding facilities available for your pet while you are out of town or having work done on your home. We offer dog, cat, bird, and other exotic pet boarding by the ½ day or the full day.

The dog boarding is separated into small dogs and larger dogs. The small dog cages in the Small Dog Ward are approximately 2’L x 3’W x 3.5’H . These cages allow small dogs to be boarded separately from large, noisy dog, reducing their stress. The kennel run boarding area has 8 runs that measure 4’ x 6’, and two “big dog” runs measuring 6’ x 6’ for giant breeds, etc. Each of our runs has a separate “guillotine door” in the back of the run that can be raised to allow the dog out into it’s own private outdoor run of the same size. The outdoor run gates can be opened to allow the dogs to play in the securely fenced play area. The guillotine doors are kept up all day during the summer months so dogs can get plenty of fresh air.

All of our guest dogs are let out into our fenced play area four times a day for 15-20 minutes so that they can stretch their legs and get some fresh air.

We feed our guests Science Diet® Sensitive Stomach pet food or we can feed them their own food as long as it is in an airtight container.

We require that all of our pets are up-to-date on their vaccines before staying with us to protect every pet’s health and well-being. We require extra precaution in vaccinating for Kennel cough (Bordetella) in dogs to assure no animal is exposed to this potentially serious disease. We are proud to say that we have never had a confirmed case of kennel cough arise in any of our boarding animals.

Required Vaccines for Dogs Boarding:

• Bordetella – every 6 months
• Parvo-Distemper yearly
• Rabies yearly for 1st yr., then every 3 years thereafter.

You may bring your pet’s favorite toy, their own food (in an airtight container), treats in a sealed bag or airtight container, and one blanket. We have food bowls and water dishes so please do not bring those with them.

Please make sure that if you pet is on any medication or supplements that you bring those in with them as well.
